The New Blackboard Mobile Learn App

April 16, 2013

The new Blackboard Mobile Learn app is now available for John Jay College and other CUNY schools. The app can be a valuable tool for students in online or hybrid courses offered through Blackboard, or in campus classes where readings or other course materials are housed in Blackboard. Having access to all registered courses from a smart phone or tablet helps on-the-go students stay up to date with assignments and course schedules.

Blackboard Mobile Learn also allows students to use the Dropbox app to more easily store and organize course documents “in the cloud.” Media content posted by a professor can be accessed and viewed with Mobile Learn. Students also have the option of staying informed with push notifications every time a professor posts new information or when there is activity on the course page. The Blackboard Mobile Learn app is available for all iOS and Android users at $1.99 per year or $5.99 for a forever pass. If you use both operating systems, the app has to be purchased separately for each.
